Terms of Use
Last updated: 23 July 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your download and use of DLEM (“the app”, package name com.pessoto.dlem). By downloading, installing, or using DLEM, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Definitions
- User, “you” — anyone who downloads, installs, or uses DLEM.
- App — the DLEM mobile application.
- Developer, “we”, “us” — Daniel Medeiros, the independent developer of DLEM.
- Driver App — any third-party ride-hailing driver application that DLEM reads ride offers from.
2. What DLEM does
DLEM reads ride-offer information displayed by supported Driver Apps using Android's Accessibility Service, evaluates it against the cost-per-km and cost-per-hour thresholds you configure, and displays an informational GOOD, OK, or BAD verdict. See our Privacy Policy for details on how this works and what data is involved.
3. No affiliation with ride-hailing platforms
DLEM is an independent, third-party tool. It is not developed, operated, endorsed by, or affiliated with any ride-hailing company. Any trademarks or app names referenced are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
4. Informational purposes only
The verdicts and figures shown by DLEM are estimates based on the text displayed by your Driver App at a given moment. They are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, business, or legal advice. Ride-hailing platforms may change how offers are displayed at any time, which can affect the accuracy of DLEM's readings. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to accept or decline any ride offer, and for complying with the terms of your ride-hailing platform and any applicable laws.
5. No user accounts
DLEM does not require you to create an account and does not collect a username or password. Your settings and ride history are stored locally on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Eligibility
DLEM is intended for licensed drivers who are at least 18 years old and legally permitted to work with ride-hailing platforms in their jurisdiction.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use DLEM for any unlawful purpose or in violation of your ride-hailing platform's own terms of service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of DLEM, except where permitted by law.
- Use DLEM to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to any Driver App or third-party service.
8. Intellectual property
The DLEM name, logo, and app design are the property of Daniel Medeiros. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond what is necessary to use the app as intended.
9. Future paid features
DLEM is currently free to use. We may introduce optional paid features or subscriptions in the future; if we do, their specific terms and pricing will be presented to you before purchase.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
DLEM is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every version of every Driver App.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Daniel Medeiros shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost earnings or missed rides — arising from your use of, or inability to use, DLEM.
12. Termination
You may stop using DLEM at any time by uninstalling the app. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue DLEM, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of DLEM after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
